CHURCH & SOCIETY

What is Church & Society?

The Church & Society ministry helps our congregation engage social issues through education, discussion, and action rooted in faith.

What We Believe

Justice Is Part of Our Faith

The United Methodist tradition calls us to love our neighbors, seek justice, and care for the vulnerable in our world.

The United Methodist Church (UMC) defines justice as treating all people with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, gender, or social status.

Our Purpose

Our task is to raise awareness of social issues by educating our congregation and community, and by communicating opportunities for Christian advocacy and action in response to the needs of hurting people in God’s world.

EDUCATE

TEACH AND LEARN!

There are several opportunities to teach and learn Social Justice Issues in the Scriptures

ADVOCATE

Take a Faithful Stand!

Church and Society Team prioritized three areas of emphasis for 2025.

TAKE ACTION

Moving Faith into Action!

Our involvement in political systems is rooted in the gospel imperative to love our neighbors, to do justice, and to care for the vulnerable.
